Guaranteed Forever

What back in 2014 I was the 104th person to back the original 12” pan on Kickstarter. Beautiful pan before the beautiful people on social media found it. But over the years I recognized that the milling process which gave it the dead flat bottom must have not been dialed in properly. On my induction cooktop the pan had spots that were 50 degrees (f) colder. I suspected that the casting was thicker in that area. No matter how I turned, that spot remained. Electric, gas, induction-the same. At searing temperatures it made no difference, but was annoying at 375 and below. But it had such a wonderful coating over the years. Eggs for example, did not stick. Tomato based sauces (acids)were fine. But that nagging cold spot drove me nuts. Finally I called, explained, and within 6 days I had the new (2024) version, free. No questions asked and was told that yes, Kickstarter group two had this imperfection and they thought they had caught all of them. Back then trying to invent something that didn’t exist was hard. The new one will need seasoning despite being “preseasoned” but I have faith. This is an excellent pan. If you recognize the French enamel cookware as best (not the China knockoffs) you will recognize the lifetime value here.

Sounds like someone who knows their way around cast iron! Our Good Forever Guarantee is something we stand by. Thanks for the support over the last 10 years!

It's a thing of beauty that functions better than it looks!

Great Premium Large Skillet

I love my new Finex skillet! Yes, it weighs quite a bit--more than almost any other 12" pan--even without the lid. However, I knew this going into it and wanted a solid, effective, and high-quality cast iron skillet and this certainly fit the bill.

It heats up quickly and evenly on my induction stove. The gold/bronze color will quickly begin it's journey to black after the first use. You don't need to season it before your first use but it does help get an even black color across the entire pan if you do take the time.

I purchased the model that included the lid as it represented a significant savings over purchasing it later. The lid itself is also quite heavy but works quite well. The claims about having the ridges to stop uncontrollable condensation from leaking out the sides is accurate and spinning the lid 1/16 from a locked fit will create a star pattern where you have 8 small vents allows steam to escape while cooking.

I'm very happy with my purchase.

Skillet with lid.

I was surprised by the small size of the 8 inch skillet compared to an 8 inch Griswold skillet
I guess I should now get a 10 inch or 12. That’s what happens when ordering online. Very nice product! It Heats evenly, nice lid as well.
