These skillet rolls make a delightful (and surprisingly easy) addition to any dinner table. Cooked & served in our FINEX 12โณ Cast Iron Skillet they look lovely and taste even better.
Ingredients
- 2โ โyeastโ packets, ยพ โozโ
- 6 Tbsp sugar, divided
- ยผ C warm water
- 1 ยผ C milk
- ยพ tsp table salt
- ยผ C unsalted butter
- 4 ยฝ C all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Baking spray
- 1 tsp Jacobsen Flake Finishing Salt
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Directions
- Preheatโ โovenโ โtoโ โ375F.
- Mixโโ โโyeastโโ โandโโ 1 Tbsp โโsugarโโ โin warmโ โwater, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Warmโโ โthe milkโ over low heat, stir inโ remaining โโsugarโ,โ โโsaltโ and โโbutterโโ โuntil salt and sugar are mostly dissolved and mixture is โlukewarm.
- Mixโ beatenโ โeggโ inโtoโ โtheโ โyeastโ and sugar water solution.โ โ
- Combineโ โtheโ โyeastโ & egg โmixture,โ โtheโ โmilk mixture,โ โandโ โallโ โofโ โtheโ โflour.โ Stirโ โtoโ โcombineโ โwell, cover and let rest (15 mins).
- Usingโ โaโ โstandโ โmixerโ โwithโ โaโ โdoughโ โhook,โ โkneadโ โthe doughโ โforโ โ5โ โminutes.
- Onโ โaโ โflouredโ โsurface,โ โrollโ โoutโ โtheโ โdoughโ โandโ โand divideโ โitโ equally โintoโ 15-โ18โ โballs, between golf ball and tennis ball in size. Coverโ โandโ โlet riseโ โforโ โ25โ-30 โminutes at room temperature.
- โApplyโโ โbakingโ โsprayโ evenly to a FINEX 12โณ Cast Iron Skillet then arrangeโ โtheโ โdoughโ โballs in the skillet, gently resting against each other and the edges of the skillet.
- Sprinkle the rolls with Jacobsen Flake Finishing Salt. Bake for 18-25 minutes, or until the surface of the rolls turns golden brown. Brush with melted butter and serve warm. Enjoy!
